Should I Come to DjangoCon?

If you have an interest in the Django framework and the broader Python web ecosystem. This includes core Django developers, those developing systems based on Django, those wishing to learn how Django might solve their problems, and technical managers with an interest in best practices and methodologies.

When Is It?

Social events are mostly on Saturday and Sunday August 30 and 31. Tutorials will be held on Monday September 1, the conference will span Tuesday through Thursday, September 2-4, and the sprints will run Friday and Saturday, September 5/6.

Is DjangoCon Always in Portland?

After four consecutive years on the West Coast (three in Portland and one in Mountain View), the sense of the community was that we needed a change of venue. Delegates to DjangoCon 2011, the last event held in Portland, had opportunity to voice their preference for future locations through a post-conference survey. Accordingly, the conference headed eastward for DjangoCon 2012 and 2013.

This year, in response to many individual requests, we return to DjangoCon's spiritual home. The 2015 conference is planned for Austin, TX
